First class sharpening service Vinny does an exquisite job. He is Sharp, in case you forget to treat them like new Knives, he includes a Band-Aid.

Vinny received three of my older knives and fixed them up good. They are sharp and look and work great. I also found out that he sharpens sewing scissors. What a find. Going to be dropping off my sewing scissors next.

Speedy service and excellent craftsmanship!

Brought my Microtech Exocet to Vinny, Normally, I would sharpen it myself, but I did not want to mess up the blue coating on the blade. Vinny is very knowledgeable, has a Knife Sharpening workshop any man would be jealous of, and is just an all-around nice guy. He sharpened my knife quickly and efficiently while I waited. When I got back to my car, I noticed a slight imperfection at the tip of the knife. I brought it back to Vinny right then, and after looking at it under a high-powered magnifying glass, He agreed there was a small imperfection. He quickly redid the knife and it came out perfect. I really can’t recommend him enough! Don’t hesitate to trust him with all your sharpening! I’m getting pretty proficient, but I might go back to Vinny just because he deserves the business!

Vinny, his wife and baby are very lovely people. They were very friendly and welcoming. I dropped off my whole knife set in horrible condition. I received my knives less than 2 hours from when I dropped them off. Not only are they like brand new, they are beautiful again. Vinny rereconditioned the handles as well as sharpened them. The knives, are totally brand new again. Not only were they done in 2 hours and insanely sharp, Vinny showed me what I should and shouldn't do with them. Vinnie sharpened kitchen knives, kitchen scissors and many yard tools. I do sharpen my own but I could never get the sharp edge he gets. He took them apart, cleaned off the rust and put items back together using a food safe lubricant. My tools are older and made better than many of the cheaper plastic tools so I want to preserve and care for these items. Using a professional to help me do this is important to the life of my kitchen and yard tools. The downside? I really have to be careful now that they are so sharp, I had to use the bandaid he included once the work was done.

Vinny is a stand up guy, did an excellent job on both knives, including one i used as a crow bar and took a notch out. He made them very sharp and looking new again! Thanks Vinny you will have my business in the future & I will tell everybody I know!

This is the first time I’ve used “Vinny” The Knife Guy. I’m very satisfied with his work. I live approximately 1/2 hour away from his home. He was able to sharpen my knives while I waited so I wouldn’t have to come back. Very thoughtful. I’ll be using him again.

Vinny’s sharpening results are great!

He is at William’s Sonoma in the Shayden Summit shopping center every 3rd Sat each month, from 10am - 2pm. He sharpens on-site, even serrated knives and scissors. If you can’t make it to William’s Sonoma, he can sharpen at his home in S Reno.

He returns your knives very nicely packaged and bowed up, and he is reasonably priced.

Vinny at The Knife Guy was fantastic. He sharpened a couple of knives for me, and I was genuinely blown away by how beautifully they came out. The whole process was easy from start to finish — he was responsive, worked around my schedule, and made everything seamless.
When I picked them up, the packaging alone showed how much care he puts into his work. Every detail felt thoughtful, and the knives were incredibly sharp. He even followed up afterward, which I really appreciated.

The knife guy was awesome. He was professional, and courteous. I work at a salon and I did look at some reviews and it did seem like he has only done kitchen, scissors and knives of course as the name implies . However, he asked me if I did more slide cutting or push cutting. Which no one has ever asked me before when they have taken my scissors to sharpen. When I when I got some back they cut like butter. I couldn't have been happier. So I highly recommend to anyone that is in a salon to give this guy a try.
