I have used Vinny for a couple years now. I am a professional Executive Chef and have some pretty expensive knives. Vinny takes extreme care in his work and understands how to sharpen all knives and blades Sharpening Japanese knives can be a real challenge, but when I get them back they are like brand new. I have used a lot of different knife sharpeners over my 35 years of kitchen experience and by far Vinny is the best. 5 stars all the way from customer service to the quality of work done.

Great experience, communication was on point. He was accommodating to schedules and after receiving of my kitchen knife set the turnaround was a lot faster than I expected. The knives are impeccably sharp, edges are even and they are now better than new.

Vinny the Knife Guy is fantastic!! I reached out to him when we knew we’d be making a shopping trip in Reno, coming up from Mammoth. Even with a narrow window and tight turnaround, Vinny was able to accommodate our request. We brought about six very dull knives and he brought our beloved Japanese blades back to life. He also took care of a serious chip that had us thinking our knife was a goner. Vinny is super knowledgeable and very professional. His enthusiasm for knives really comes through on his instagram page which is also worth checking out. His prices are very reasonable considering the quality work and quick turnaround plus he packages them up so nicely when he’s finished. We are so grateful to know there is a skilled blade sharpener who happens to also be a really good guy!
